Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Purpose of Position
Coordinate and provide front line supervision of all activities through assigned personnel on receipt, transfers and inventory accuracy inventory within Receiving and Stockrooms areas
Responsibilities
On a daily basis plans and coordinates work activities for material handler, clerk or any personnel assigned
Assigns personnel to off load in a timely manner all incoming material and routes accordingly within facility
Coordinates distribution of MRO items to customers throughout the facility in an expeditiously manner
Assure raw material components are picked and delivered to Manufacturing areas without production interruptions
Validate and maintains accurate inventory through supporting cycle count program to meet department goals
Performs area inspections and audits as required to ensure housekeeping and safety violations are non existent
Create and update trade control and compliance procedures
Continually review and validate HTS classification.
Responsible to ensure maximum compliance with AEO and CTPAT Requirements.
Respond to internal customer requests & queries via phone and email in a professional and timely manner
Coordinating with other departments to make sure all paperwork is thoroughly managed
Prepare and submit weekly reports for internal review as well as per Manager requests
Monitoring the preparation and dispatch of customer export orders, and planning/directing the flow of air and surface traffic to the final destination
Coordination with customs brokers and freight lines.
Responsible of support Supply Chain to expedite the importation of raw materials, spare parts and equipment.
Coordinates C-TPAT activities
Liaison with the Customs Broker to solve issues related to compliance
Coordinate based on production needs dispatch of materials as required
Uncoordinated dispatches will cause production interruptions to plant
Unable to maintain support program requirements as required will create inventory discrepancies, impacting production
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in foreign trade, international trade, logistics
Work Experience
SAP knowledge
C-TPAT, AEO and safety culture
Annex 24 and 30 Experience
Global Trade XXI Experience.
2-4 years’ experience on Mexico import/ export compliance required
Subject matter expert for logistics processes and identification of projects to drive improved efficiency through improved costs better utilization of equipment, mode selection and analysis of alternative routing methods
Ensure compliance with customs regulations and controls by reviewing records, reports, operating practices, and documentation
Additional Skills
Fluent in English
Microsoft office
Strong understanding of custom documentation
Strong Knowledge of Annex 24, Annex 31
